The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported on the volumes of new weaponry that Russia plans to produce by the end of the year.
Deputy Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi shared this in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to intelligence data, the Kremlin intends to produce 57 modern fighter jets of various models – Su-57, Su-35, Su-34, and Su-30.
Russia’s defense industry plans to produce around 250 T-90M tanks, over 1100 BTR-3 and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, as well as 365 artillery systems. These are new combat units, not modernizations.
By the end of the year, Russia also plans to manufacture about 2500 missiles of various types. Among them are cruise and ballistic missiles for the Iskander system, air-launched ballistic missiles like the Kinzhal, and others. New long-range missiles and modern hypersonic anti-ship systems are also under development.
“This will no longer be a wide range of models, as it was before. The main combat tanks will be the T-90, Armata, and T-80. Among the latest artillery systems are the Koalitsiya, Msta of various modifications, Malva, Giatsint, and Magnolia,” Skibitskyi noted.
As Defence Intelligence emphasizes, Russia is focusing on increasing the range, accuracy of strikes, and the power of the warheads. This indicates preparation for a potential conflict not only with Ukraine but also with NATO countries in the period leading up to 2030.
