Crashed Russian Mi-35M attack helicopter was found in the Kharkiv region.
Ukraine Weapons Tracker analysts published footage featuring the crashed aircraft.
The helicopter was destroyed by Ukrainian artillery near Tokarivka, Kharkiv region.
The artillery of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade hit the aircraft. They released a video featuring this Mi-35M on February 9, but the photos from the site have only now appeared.
Before this, the Mi-35 was presumably damaged by anti-aircraft fire or had a malfunction and was forced to land.
At that time, the released video also featured another Mi-8 helicopter, which was likely planning to evacuate the pilots.
This Mi-35M attack helicopter is quite common in the Russian armed forces.
The initial contract to supply 22 Mi-35M helicopters to the Russian Air Force was signed in 2010.
It is capable of using various versions of guided and unguided weapons.
The helicopter is quite balanced with regard to combat and transport capabilities for use in army aviation.
Mi-35 is designed to destroy tanks and other armored and non-armored equipment, enemy manpower on the battlefield, and in tactical depth. It is also designed to solve other combat tasks both independently and in cooperation with ground troops.
As previously reported, this is not the first destroyed Russian Mi-35 in the war with Ukraine. Last June, the Ukrainian soldiers shot down the Russian military Mi-35M helicopter in the Donetsk region.
