106 engineering and demining teams of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received pickup trucks and mine clearance kits from the Come Back Alive Foundation.
The Come Back Alive Foundation announced this on its social media pages.
The military is being supplied within the We Live Here project, implemented jointly with Kyivstar.
The Come Back Alive Foundation stated that together with a mobile operator, they managed to raise UAH 180 million within the We Live Here project to help sappers.
Although the original plan was to raise UAH 175 million to implement this project.
Therefore, the Foundation emphasized that the additional funds will help supply another brigade of Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary equipment.
Fundraising for the We Live Here project was launched in May last year.
So far, 106 engineering and demining teams have already received new pickup trucks, along with metal detectors, radios, drones, explosive protective suits, mine clearance kits, and other necessary equipment. Another 40 teams will receive such kits soon.
During the initiative, Kyivstar transferred over UAH 61 million for fundraising. More than UAH 29 million of this amount was contributed by the customers of the mobile operator.
The Foundation notes that Ukraine is currently the most mined country in the world: approximately 30% of our territories need demining. That is why one of the Foundation’s priorities is to assist the sappers of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The necessary equipment is purchased due to donations from citizens and responsible businesses.
Sappers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine work both in the already liberated territories and in areas where active hostilities with the Russian invasion forces are ongoing.
