The Come Back Alive Foundation has selected 6 new contracts for weapons for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Director of the charitable foundation Taras Chmut said that the contracts would be almost all with Ukrainian manufacturers.
The Come Back Alive charitable foundation has become an important supplier for the Defense Forces during the war.
For example, in 2023, charitable foundations purchased more mortars from Ukrainian Armor than the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
“And such cooperation continues to this day,” the company’s CEO said.
Indeed, the volume of purchases of military goods by charitable organizations since 2022 is impressive.
Sometimes, these are larger volumes than in many European armies. This includes mortars, machine guns, and various grenade launchers.
“This month Come Back Alive Foundation plans to sign 6 more contracts for weapons with state and private manufacturers,” said Taras Chmut.
Recently, the Ukrainian military received 18 mortars as part of the “Gunners” project from the Come Back Alive Foundation and the Lviv City Council.
The project has accumulated UAH 200 million for weapons for the military.
Come Back Alive Foundation became the first charitable organization in the history of Ukraine to receive a license to purchase dual-use and military goods abroad, including lethal weapons.
This status, most importantly, gives the foundation the right to buy the relevant goods directly from manufacturers without intermediaries. This not only reduces the price, but also protects against low-quality goods and unscrupulous sellers.
