Due to unsuccessful attempts to disguise themselves, three enemy infantrymen were eliminated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s attack drones.
The Third Army Corps reported that the enemy was eliminated by the pilots of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade, being part of the corps.
“This time, the occupiers put on growth bags, but were detected and eliminated by our FPV drones and air drops,” the military said.
The corps also noted that it was not the first time that the invaders had experimented with various types of camouflage in the area of operations of the Third Army Corps.
This time, three invaders tried to disguise themselves in camouflage cloaks, which looked more like garbage bags from the air and on the operators’ devices.
At the same time, the infantrymen did not follow the basic rules of camouflage: they continued to walk at full height even when drones were flying in the sky.
Their movement was recorded by the cameras of the 63rd Brigade’s reconnaissance UAVs. The coordinates were immediately transmitted to the FPV drone units.
In turn, the latter timely and accurately struck the enemy group directly with attack drones, and then ensured the outcome with bomb drops.
The invaders tried to cross the field using a camouflage poncho, which usually consists of a three-layer material: water-repellent fabric, metallized polymer, and a heat-insulating lining.
This combination is supposed to dissipate heat, making the soldier invisible to thermal imagers.
However, it is worth noting that the longer a person is in such a suit, the faster it heats up and the soldier becomes easier to spot with thermal imaging equipment.
It is worth recalling that in the spring of this year, the Third Army Corps announced the formation of an Unmanned Systems Regiment.
