The UK Ministry of Defence has confirmed in a written response to Parliament dated January 6, 2026, that 13 Raven air defense systems have already been delivered to Ukraine.

In addition, two Gravehawk prototypes have also been delivered, UK Defence Journal reported.

The Ministry of Defence said, in response to a question from MP Ben Obese-Jecty, that the Raven systems are already in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It added that the systems are being used actively to counter Russian air threats.

Thirteen Raven systems give Ukrainian units the ability to rapidly counter drones, helicopters, and low-flying targets, said UK Minister for Veterans and People Al Carns.

Raven is a mobile short-range air defense system mounted on a SupaCat chassis and armed with British AIM-132 ASRAAM missiles for engaging aerial targets.

Raven systems first started arriving in Ukraine in 2023.

Ukrainian units have previously said the systems have destroyed more than 100 Russian drones and missiles.

The UK Ministry of Defence also confirmed that two Gravehawk system prototypes have already been delivered to Ukraine, with several more production units expected to arrive in the near future.

Gravehawk is a joint British-Danish short-range air defense system housed in a standard container and designed to protect critical infrastructure from drones, helicopters, and potentially cruise missiles.

The system uses Ukraine’s existing R-73 (AA-11 Archer) missiles, simplifying logistics and accelerating deployment.

Deliveries of Raven and Gravehawk systems are part of a broader UK air defense support package worth around £600 million, which also includes automated turrets for countering strike drones.

The expansion of deliveries comes amid intensified Russian attacks on critical infrastructure and Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its air defense.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defence Forces are also expected to receive Swedish Kreuger interceptor drones “this winter.”
