The Republic of Belarus has received a batch of Russian Su-30SM2 multi-role fighter jets.
The country’s Ministry of Defense reported this in its official Telegram channel.
The number of transferred aircraft is not specified, but a photo of two fighters, probably still at the Russian airport, was published online.
This is the third batch of Su-30SM2s delivered to Belarus this year. Their likely tail numbers are red 13 and 14.
The country received the second batch with red numbers 11 and 12 in August, when they arrived at the 61st Fighter Air Base in Baranovichi. The first pair of Su-30SM2s – aircraft with numbers 09 and 10 – arrived there in May 2025.
Prior to this, Minsk received eight aircraft of the previous version of the Su-30SM, which were assembled at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant in Russia.
The delivery is carried out in accordance with the framework agreement between Belarus and Russia signed in June 2017. The document provides for the transfer of 12 fighters to Belarus.
