Belarus has adopted a new wheeled armored personnel carrier, the V-2, equipped with the Adunok-BM30.2 combat module.

The State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus announced this.

The vehicle, also known as the MZKT-690003-021, has successfully completed state trials.

The 8×8 APC has a full combat weight of 23.5 tons and is characterized by increased mobility, a high level of protection, and significant firepower for effectively performing a wide range of tasks.

The V-2 is designed to transport personnel and provide fire support in combat. The vehicle can independently overcome water obstacles, land from landing ships, and participate in various special operations.

The Belarusian armored personnel carrier’s high cross-country ability and maneuverability are ensured by a 560 horsepower engine, automatic transmission, and independent hydropneumatic suspension.

The APC has a maximum speed of over 110 km/h on the highway and 8 km/h on water. The cruising range on a single fuel tank is 900 km at a speed of 80 km/h.

The crew consists of three people, and the squad compartment in the rear can accommodate eight soldiers. The vehicle is equipped with a winch for self-recovery.

The Adunok-BM30.2 combat module, which is used on the V-2 armored personnel carrier, includes a 2A42 30mm automatic cannon, a PKT 7.62mm machine gun, four Konkurs-RB anti-tank guided missiles, and smoke grenade launchers.

The module is claimed to provide target detection at ranges of up to 6,500 m and engagement at ranges of up to 4,000 m. Automatic target acquisition and engagement are also reportedly implemented.

The MZKT developed the armored personnel carrier for the Belarusian Ministry of Defense. In the future, it may replace combat vehicles such as the BMP-1/2, BTR-70, and BTR-80, which are currently in service with the Belarusian army.

The V-2 APC was first shown with a modernized turret from the BMP-2 at the MILEX-2021 exhibition in Minsk. The Adunok-BM-30 combat module was developed by the Display Design Bureau.
