Powerful explosions were heard on the territory of the Azovkabel plant in occupied Berdiansk.
A pillar of smoke rose into the sky at the place of the strikes, which blasted around 3:00 p.m.
Russian military warehouses allegedly located on the territory of the plant were attacked.
It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities today at 12 p.m. claimed that there might have been sounds of explosions in the city, but this was supposedly related to training and “combat coordination”.
However, after the strikes, Russian invasion forces started claiming that Ukraine had allegedly used Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
“The enemy began to systematically hit our facilities in the Zaporizhzhia region,” the invaders say.
Also, on May 27, powerful explosions, heard even in Berdiansk, blasted out in Novopetrivka.
The photo clearly shows a pillar of gray smoke rising in the sky.
Local resistance reported the strike to the invaders’ training ground. However, Viktor Dudukalov, deputy chairman of the Berdiansk District Council, shared that the explosions happened at recreation centers where enemy personnel were deployed.
Previously, the UK has confirmed the supply of Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles to Ukraine. The declared operational range of this cruise missile is over 250 km.
“All I can say is that, as far as I understand, they (Storm Shadow missiles – ed.) were used after we announced their delivery to Ukraine. But I’m not going to go into further details,” UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace stated recently.
Wallace also added that the weapons systems provided to Ukraine by Western allies were “powerful” and “important.”
