In France, two aircraft from the Patrouille de France aerobatic team collided in the air.
French Air and Space Force confirmed the incident.
The crash occurred on March 25, 2025, during a training flight of Alpha Jet aircraft belonging to the Patrouille de France aerobatic team of the French Air and Space Force.
They were conducting a training flight near the BA113 airbase in Saint-Dizier, located in eastern France.
During one of the maneuvers, at 3:35 p.m. local time, the aircraft collided, and the pilots lost control due to critical damage.
Both pilots and another crew member successfully ejected, and their lives are not in danger.
A fire broke out at one of the enterprises due to the aircraft’s fall and debris, but it has been localized.
There have been no reports of casualties or injuries from the fire.
Patrouille de France is an aerobatic team of the French Air and Space Force, one of the oldest and most famous in the world. The team was founded in 1953 and has since become a symbol of French aviation and national pride.
The team performs complex aerobatic maneuvers on Alpha Jet aircraft, with a fleet of nine planes.
Militarnyi previously reported that a T-5 Brave Eagle training aircraft of the Republic of China Air Force crashed during takeoff.
The two-seat T-5 Brave Eagle aircraft with tail number “1130” of the Air Force flight training unit crashed into the sea north of the airport from which it took off.
According to the pilot, two Honeywell/ITEC F124-200TW engines failed at once during takeoff, and he decided to eject.
Only the pilot, Major Lin, was on board at the time of takeoff. He ejected into the sea and was found by a rescue helicopter at 09:14 a.m. local time. He was confirmed to be in good health at 09:23 a.m.
