The 51st arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense exploded in the Vladimir region.

Footage of the detonation was published by local telegram channels.

A powerful explosion occurred near the village of Barsovo in the Vladimir region, near which one of the largest arsenals of the Russian Ministry of Defense is located, and secondary detonations continue.

The 51st arsenal of the GRAU (military base 11785) is located about 530 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

Located east of Moscow, the military facility has an area of about 3.5 square kilometers and, according to some sources, can store about 274 thousand tons of ammunition.

It has both fortified bunkers for storing ammunition and open storage areas for unloading/loading weapons.
