The Italian fire and rescue service handed over 45 units of special equipment to Ukrainian rescuers.
Mary Hakobyan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, announced this on May 9.
Firefighting vehicles have already arrived in Ukraine and will be shipped to different regions of the country.
The Deputy Minister noted that the vehicles will be distributed among the garrisons of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and will serve a good cause.
Firefighting vehicles that arrived from Italy will assist in replacing the equipment of Ukrainian rescuers, which dropped out as a result of the actions of the Russian invaders, as quickly as possible.
“Thank you to the EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid, Civil Protection Department, Hasičský a záchranný zbor, Ministry vnútra SR. We hope for further cooperation – not only during the war but also in peaceful times, which are sure to come soon!” Mary Hakobyan said.
