The soldiers of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment cleared enemy positions, established a foothold, and facilitated the entry of a friendly unit of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The press service of the Armed Forces released the corresponding video.
The battle with the enemy forces started when a Skhid (East) tactical group of special forces broke into their positions.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces operators killed three Russian soldiers and forced another to surrender.
During the special operations, the enemy tried to drop grenades from drones, but the Ukrainian Special Forces soldiers shot down four Russian quadcopters with small arms.
After successfully completing the mission, the group of Special Forces retreated with one wounded comrade.
Recently, it was reported that fighters of the 8th Regiment (Special Operations Center “West”) of the Special Operations Forces lured a platoon of Russian marines in armored vehicles into an ambush, requesting reinforcements on behalf of the captured occupiers.
The sabotage and reconnaissance group stormed one of the occupiers’ positions, restoring the positions of the Defense Forces in the Kursk region.
Using the captured occupants, the Special Forces organized a “fake radio message” in which they reported to the Russian command about continuing their duty and waiting for the promised reinforcements.
As a result of the battle, the operators destroyed two BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and damaged another. The enemy infantry was eliminated.
Previously, Militarnyi reported that fighters of the 73rd Special Operations Center together with the 6th Ranger Regiment destroyed or captured a platoon of Russian marines in the Kursk oblast.
The Special Forces operators infiltrated the positions of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and killed 17 Russian soldiers in a firefight.
