Soldiers of the 39th Coastal Defense Brigade have received 120-mm mortars from the “Come Back Alive” Foundation, thanks to a contribution from Ukrenergo.

This was reported on the Foundation’s social media accounts.

In total, the defense forces received six domestically produced mortars. The weapons are already in use at the frontlines.

The cost of the weapons is nearly UAH 6 million, funded by Ukrenergo, which has consistently supported the Ukrainian military.

Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukrenergo has provided support totaling almost UAH 580 million to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“We are grateful to our partners from the ‘Come Back Alive’ Foundation for their productive cooperation. We also thank the Defenders for effectively using the equipment and sharing videos of it in action,” Ukrenergo reported.

The 39th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade, formerly known as the 126th Territorial Defense Brigade, is based in Odessa.
Recently, the brigade underwent reorganization, as reported on its official Facebook page. On March 5, 2025, the brigade’s name and symbols were updated to reflect its new structure and purpose.

As of May 2024, the unit was integrated into the Naval Forces as part of the 30th Marine Corps.

As of early March 2025, the brigade is engaged in combat operations in the Kherson region. The brigade has been reinforced with armored vehicles, including BMP-1s and D-30 howitzers.

Come Back Alive

In February, the Come Back Alive Foundation reported supplying five units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine with equipment, UAVs, and electronic warfare systems.

The purchase was funded by a UAH 51 million contribution from the Ukrnafta company.
