The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to resist the Russian invaders in various directions.
Ukrainian soldiers of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized enemy tanks.
During the battle, the paratroopers hit two T-72s.
Russian armored vehicles were moving through a wooded area in the Donetsk Region, when they encountered the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
“Paratroopers of the 25th Airborne Brigade continue to successfully destroy the invaders in the Donetsk Region! As a result we got two fewer enemy tanks and some fried “liberators”! To be continued…,” the 25th Airborne Brigade announced.
One T-72B3 tank was completely destroyed due to the ammunition detonation. Its turret was torn off and it fell next to the hull.
Another Russian T-72B suffered damage to its chassis and turret.
The upgraded Russian T-72B3 tank is equipped with a V-92S2F engine with a capacity of 1130 hp.
The tank is also equipped with a new 125-mm gun with improved ballistics and resources, dynamic “Kontakt-5” protection, and “Sosna-U” sight.
T-72B3M also has additional screens installed to protect against high-explosive anti-tank ammunition.
The 25th Airborne Brigade is an airborne formation of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
On August 23, 2021, the brigade was given the honorary name “Sicheslavska”.
