1st Center of Unmanned Systems Forces Intercepted Shahed Launch at Donetsk Airport Using Drones

Drones of the 1st Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces detected and struck the equipment used to launch Shahed drones.

The launch took place from the territory of Donetsk Airport, as evidenced by specific mounds on the ground, as well as shelters for kamikaze drones, which is confirmed by a collage from Militarnyi.

During the first strike, operators from the 14th Regiment struck one of the vehicles used to launch kamikaze drones. During the second strike, the drone was directed at the vehicle on which it had been mounted for launch.

It is worth noting that Donetsk Airport is actively used by the enemy to launch kamikaze drones.

The enemy began setting up the launch infrastructure in August 2025. At that time, intelligence recorded the construction of enclosed storage areas for the drones and manual control stations.

Despite strikes by the Defense Forces on Donetsk Airport and the destruction of some buildings, the enemy continues to use the area for launches due to its close proximity to Ukrainian-controlled territory and reduced flight times.
