Strike drones attacked an oil refinery in Ufa, which is located about 1400 km from Ukraine.

The explosion at the plant was recorded on March 3, 2025, at 2:28 a.m., when an air raid was declared in the city. Meanwhile, local residents note that they had heard strange sounds in the sky beforehand.

Two explosions were recorded on the territory of the Orgsintez plant, which resulted in a large-scale fire. According to locals, the explosion was so powerful that a large part of the city felt its earthquake-like shock.

The company itself includes three production sites – Bashneft-UNPZ, Bashneft-Novol and Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim.

Based on the analysis of photo and video materials, Dnipro Osint’s OSINT specialist geolocated the L-24-7 unit on the territory of Bashneft-UNPZ at coordinates 54.85120671270046, 56.10498794163238.

According to Astra, the oil storage facilities were directly damaged, which led to a large-scale fire and the destruction of part of the company’s technological infrastructure.

Two vertical steel tanks and the main feedstock supply pipelines were also severely damaged. In addition, a third tank reportedly detonated.

So far, Ufa officials have not commented on the situation at the refinery. At the same time, the Emergencies Ministry reported:

“The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation have localized the fire on the territory of the Ufa Oil Refinery in Ufa. According to preliminary data, the fire occurred on the territory of the enterprise in the area of the incinerator. There is no threat to the residents of the nearest neighborhoods. A laboratory is operating at the site to monitor the air quality,” the statement said.

The fire at the enterprise was also confirmed by NASA’s FIRMS service, whose satellites detect strong fires on the Earth’s surface.

It should be noted that JSOC Bashneft includes three production sites with a total capacity of 23.5 million tons per year.

Militarnyi previously reported that in May 2024, a long-range drone had hit a Russian oil refinery more than 1,300 kilometers from Ukraine.

The drone attacked the Salavatnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Bashkiria, owned by Gazprom.
