Egyptian company ONIP has unveiled HAMZA-3, a long-range strike drone. The UAV is designed as a flying wing without a tail and has a swarm operation function.
This was reported by Militarnyi from the World Defense Show 2026 exhibition, which is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The drone is capable of covering distances of up to 1,800 km and staying in the air for 8 hours. The maximum speed of the drone is 220 km/h, and its operating ceiling reaches 5,000 meters.
The drone’s body is made of carbon fiber. With a maximum take-off weight of 210 kg, the aircraft carries a 50 kg warhead. It is powered by a 40 hp gasoline engine. Navigation is provided by GPS, Beidou, and an inertial system. The drone is equipped with an AI-powered homing head for image recognition and an antenna for protection against interference.
Control can be autonomous or manual with target confirmation via real-time video link. The encrypted data transmission channel operates at a distance of up to 250 km. Launch is possible using a rocket accelerator or pneumatic catapult.
A radio-absorbing coating for better stealth and a passive radar detection system are also available. This allows the drone to operate effectively against enemy radar stations.
Modular Lüneberg lenses are also available, which increase the drone’s radar visibility. This allows it to mimic the signal of a jet aircraft in order to overload enemy air defense systems.
