The Ukrainian company Wild Hornets has presented a Queen Hornets multifunctional unmanned platform, which can carry up to 9.5 kilograms and is made of 65% Ukrainian components.

The Queen Hornets is a multifunctional 15-inch FPV drone designed for heavy cargo delivery. At the same time, it is faster and quieter than conventional multi-rotor bombers.

“At the beginning of 2024, Kyrylo Veres, commander of the K-2 battalion, asked us to create an affordable FPV bomber that would carry up to six kilograms of payload and cost the same as a few regular kamikaze drones. We set out to bring this idea to life,” the developers say.

Three months of work, hundreds of tests, two dozen broken units, and then the launch of the pre-production batch. Then, successful combat tests at the front and the start of serial production.

The Queen Hornets is a multifunctional platform that can be used as a bomber, kamikaze, transport drone, or remote miner of logistic routes.

The drone can carry a payload weighing up to 9.5 kilograms over a distance of 5 kilometers or a lighter 6-kilogram load over 17 kilometers. At the same time, one drone costs only $1,000.

“More than a hundred Queens Hornets are already operating at the front. We have just as many on the conveyor. The number of these drones will increase each month,” Wild Hornets reported.

Queen Hornets drone consists of 65% Ukrainian components. In particular, it uses Ukrainian electronics developed during the war.

The developers also reported that the company’s designers are currently preparing a new version of the drone, which will have a new innovative frame, special communication tools, and twice the payload.

“All this has become possible thanks to the support of thousands of Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian businesses, and our foreign friends. Please don’t stop, as together we can influence the course of the war, and support our project,” company representatives urged.
