Reconnaissance personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received the “Leleka-100” system from philanthropists

The Come Back Alive Foundation handed over the Leleka-100 unmanned system to a separate intelligence unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is the fifth system that the charitable foundation has handed over to the Ukrainian military since the beginning of the year.

They were given to the brigades of the Defense Forces, which are protecting Ukraine’s borders from the Russian invaders in the north and are partially involved in the fighting in Donbas.

Each Leleka-100 unmanned system includes two aircraft with ground control stations, along with the spare parts, tools, and transmitters.

The drones are equipped with day and night optics to perform reconnaissance missions and adjust strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Leleka can reach 2 kilometers in altitude and conduct reconnaissance and adjust fire to a depth of 50 kilometers from the front line,” the Come Back Alive Foundation notes.

The report notes that this unmanned system operates at any time of the day and allows the Ukrainian military to transmit the necessary information immediately from the battlefield.

In April last year, the Foundation ordered 25 domestic-made Leleka-100 reconnaissance UAVs from the Ukrainian company DeViRo.

Since then, the Foundation has received and transferred 11 systems that support the Ukrainian military.

Leleka-100 is designed to assist in aerial reconnaissance, patrolling, and mapping with the ability to transmit operational information and obtain accurate geographical coordinates in real time.

It was adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2021.

The system is adapted to work in a complex radio environment, in the mode of the deliberate staging of radio jamming or blocking of satellite navigation systems.
