Security Service of Ukraine officers detained a Russian agent who was adjusting enemy kamikaze drone fire in the Odesa region.

The SSU reported this.

The man was spying on the places of deployment and movement of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the south of the region.

According to the Security Service, the detainee was collecting information about the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defense unit bases, defense and law enforcement facilities, their number of personnel and military equipment.

In addition, he was establishing the exact coordinates of roadblocks and objects of critical infrastructure, especially in the field of heat and energy supply.

According to the investigation, the detainee is a resident of the city of Reni. He was recruited by the Russian special services after the start of a full-scale invasion.

He was covertly photographing objects and movement routes of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine.

“He was transmitting information to the invaders through an anonymous Telegram channel in the form of photo reporting and putting marks on an electronic map with a detailed description,” the statement reads.

The perpetrator was detained while trying to share classified information with the Russian Federation. A mobile phone with evidence of hidden correspondence with a Russian curator along with the laptop and two housings with fuzes from F-1 grenades were seized from the man.

So far, SSU investigators have informed the enemy accomplice of the suspicion of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The suspect will remain in custody without the possibility of being released on bail.

Today the Ukrainian Air Force reported that at around 8:00 a.mode., the Air Defense of the Ukrainian Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three of the three Shahed-136 kamikaze drones that were trying to attack the Mykolaiv region.
