Gunners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received new Slovak-made 155mm OFd MKM ammunition.

This was reported by the Ukraine Weapons Tracker analysts, who published a photo with ammunition in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military uses Slovak-made ammunition with KRAB self-propelled artillery units, which are produced exclusively for Poland by Slovak enterprise.

Slovak 155mm OFd MKM high-explosive rounds at the service of Ukraine have an increased range.

The manufacturer claims that the OFd MKM projectile provides an increased firing range of up to 30 kilometers when firing from 45 caliber guns and up to 31 kilometers from firing 52 caliber guns.

Polish-made KRAB ACS have a 155mm barrel and a length of 52 calibers.

The production of shells is carried out by the Slovak company MSM GROUP, which includes subsidiaries with products in the field of defense and civil industry.

The main products of the companies included in the group cover the entire process of creating ammunition and producing special equipment for airports.

MSM GROUP offers its customers a full range of 155mm, 152mm and 122mm artillery ammunition, including inert ammunition for training.

Recall that in early June 2022, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, said that the tracked 155mm self-propelled howitzers transferred by Poland, are already ready to perform combat missions on the front line.

Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received command vehicles for these artillery systems.

In addition, it became known that Ukraine will conclude an agreement for the purchase of about 60 units of 155mm self-propelled artillery howitzers.
