Security Service of Ukraine detains traitor in Kharkiv Region

The SSU detained a Russian agent who provided invaders with intelligence about Ukrainian military positions in the Kharkiv Region.

This was announced in a statement by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The SSU detained the Russian agent in the suburbs of Kharkiv.

He turned out to be a local resident recruited by the enemy special services on the Internet.

Following the instructions of his supervisor, the man recorded unit locations and information on other military formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the region.

The invaders were interested in the coordinates of checkpoints and military fortifications, among other things.

The SSU special purpose unit detained the traitor while he was on his way to another assignment.

The detainee is a suspect of a crime under Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).

Now, the man who worked for the Russian invasion forces, is facing up to 12 years in prison.

As previously reported, the Russian military continues to shell Kharkiv and the region.

Last night, the enemy fired at Kharkiv residential areas with artillery, BM-30 Smerch and BM-27 Uragan MLRS.

Several industrial buildings were damaged by the missile strikes. As a result of the shelling, 1 civilian was injured. Chuhuiv and Izium districts of the region were also shelled. In Korobochkino one person was wounded.
