The Armed Forces of Ukraine soldiers fire Javelin anti-ank missiles in Donbas.

In the Donetsk region, in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, there were combat firing Javelin anti-tank missile (ATGM), the “Dom” TV channel reported.

According to the report, Javelin were first used in Donetsk region. Rocket firing took place at the shooting range.

According to the media, almost 100 Javelin launchers and about 500 anti-tank missiles are currently in service in Ukraine. In the event of a full-scale Russian invasion, they can be used to repel aggression.

“All units that armed with this weapon have been trained and are ready to perform combat tasks”, – said the commander of the Joint Forces Operation Oleksandr Pavlyuk.

In early December, journalists in Donbas demonstrated training of Ukrainian soldiers armed with Javelin anti-tank missiles.

Earlier, the commander of the Joint Forces Operation Oleksandr Pavlyuk said that the unit armed with Javelin anti-tank missile systems is part of the JFO forces.

“Yes, we [ed.: JFO] are equipped with “Javelins”. The unit is constantly recognize options for actions in the most threatening directions”.

In case of aggravation of the situation, he assured that the Javelins can be used as intended:

“If necessary, we are ready to use them, and all the rest – you hear in the comments of people who think that they have the right to comment on our actions”.

Recall that the first Javelins were delivered to Ukraine in May 2018, and in December 2019, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine signed a contract with the United States to supply the second batch of the ATGM. Since then, several parties of American missiles have been delivered to our country.
