During Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, between 2,500 and 3,000 Ukrainian servicemen were killed.
Militarnyi informs about it.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced the Ukrainian losses in an interview with CNN that was published on the night of April 16.
Zelenskyi shared that Ukrainian officials estimate that between 2,500 to 3,000 Ukrainian military were killed during the war, comparing this figure with, according to him, Russia’s casualty numbers of 19,000 to 20,000 (Russia has acknowledged 1,351 military casualties).
Zelensky added that approximately 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen were injured and that it’s “hard to predict how many of them will survive.”
According to Ukrainian estimates, Russia’s irreparable losses in this full-scale war amount to about 20,000 servicemen.
On April 7, a spokesman for the Russian President told Sky News that the Russian troops had suffered “significant losses” in Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy between February 24 and April 16, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are approximately the following:
personnel – about 20,100,
tanks ‒ 762,
APV ‒ 1982,
artillery systems – 371,
MLRS – 125,
anti-aircraft warfare systems – 66,

According to the President of Ukraine, the losses among the civilian population are more difficult to calculate.
“It is very difficult to talk about civilians, since the South of our country, where the towns and cities are blocked – Kherson, Berdyansk, Mariupol in the East, and the area further to the East where Volnovakha is – we just don’t know how many people have died in those areas that are blocked,” Zelenskyi said.
