Volodymyr Zelensky has demonstrated the effective operation of the M142 HIMARS artillery rocket system against Russian artillery.

In the video published by the President of Ukraine, HIMARS hits the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers.

The Russian 2S7 Pion/Malka 203mm self-propelled gun was also hit.

American GMLRS 227mm missiles were used to destroy four Grad BM-21 multiple rocket launchers.

The hits also activated the loaded 122-mm projectiles in some MLRS.

During the counter-battery fire, the Ukrainian military also struck a 2S19 Msta-S 152mm self-propelled howitzer.

In each case, the positions of the Russian artillery were spotted by a reconnaissance drone.

It is worth noting that the video captures one of the important elements of counteroffensive actions – the destruction of the enemy’s artillery.

The mobile and precise M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers have already repeatedly proven their effectiveness in this task.

In order for the counteroffensive to be effective and at the same time come at a minimum cost for the Ukrainian military, it is necessary to carry out a whole set of measures.

It is aimed at destroying the enemy’s military infrastructure and facilities.

As previously reported, at the end of June, the US Department of Defense announced that it would send Ukraine additional ammunition for the M142 HIMARS artillery rocket systems.
