Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to deploy an international monitoring mission at the border between Ukraine and Belarus to prevent provocations.
This proposal was voiced during an urgent summit of G7 countries leaders.
Zelensky noted that Russia is trying to drag Belarus into the war and is already using its territory to strike Ukraine.
He stressed that the only goal of Ukraine is to restore territorial integrity.
“A mission of international observers may be stationed on the border of Ukraine and Belarus to monitor the security situation. The format can be worked out by our diplomats. And I ask you at the level of the Group of Seven to support this initiative of ours,” Zelensky said.
He stressed that peace is possible not only when it is with one neighbor, but with all of them.
Previously, by the October 11 decree of Alexander Lukashenko, an audit of the armed forces of Belarus started.
According to the Belarusian Ministry of Defense, during the inspection, military units and units will work out the issue of bringing to combat readiness.
