President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded two Polish volunteers with state awards.

The President reported this on his social media.

The award ceremony took place in Lublin on his way back to Ukraine.

Bianka Zalewska, a TVN Discovery Poland journalist, who helped provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainians and transport wounded children to Polish hospitals, received the award.

For her merits, Zalewska received the Order of Princess Olga of the Second Class.

Damian Duda, a civilian volunteer and medic who gathered a team of medics to save Ukrainian soldiers on the front line, also received the state award.

He created a fund to assist medics, organized training, and provided vital medical assistance.

Duda received the Order of Merit of the third class from the President.

Militarnyi reported that Poland’s defense industry continues preparing weapons for Ukraine.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki recently shared that Warsaw was now focused on rearming its own military and therefore would not be transferring its military aid to Kyiv.

Polish President Andrzej Duda clarified that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s words about suspending military aid to Ukraine because of the need for rearmament were taken out of context.
