A cannibal who ate a man’s heart and a rapist-maniac who chopped two girls into pieces are serving side by side in the Russian invasion forces.

Russian cannibal Dmitry Malyshev became famous throughout Russia 10 years ago: the man killed a Tajik migrant worker he knew, cut out his heart, fried it with vegetables, and ate it. For this and numerous other crimes, he was sent to prison for 25 years.

However, Malyshev is currently serving in the Russian army and posts photos on his social media with another equally notorious Russian murderer, Alexander Maslennikov, who became known as the rapist and murderer of two girls.

The murder of two people with particular cruelty as part of a criminal group, banditry, theft and illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, preparation for the murder of police officers, and robbery were the reasons for sending Dmitry Malyshev to prison for a quarter of a century.

However, Malyshev became famous for another crime: in his native village of Rakhynka, the man quarreled with a 46-year-old guest worker from Tajikistan. Malyshev struck him about four times on the head with a hammer, then cut out his heart with a knife, which he fried and ate at home. He recorded this process on his phone’s video camera, accompanied by comments.

His comrade-in-arms, Alexander Maslennikov, is known for the arbitrary murder of two girls on the night they met at a karaoke club in 2017. The man invited Olga Shaposhnikova and Daria Labutina to a rented apartment, where he murdered them. He buried the bodies of the murdered women in a forest on the outskirts of Volgograd.

In the spring of 2023, Volgograd was shaken by rumors of Maslennikov’s possible return home. Social media reported on the man’s possible arrival in the region: according to them, the murderer, sentenced to 23 years, signed a contract with the Wagner PMC and returned to freedom six months later.

Volgograd Online journalists managed to contact Malyshev on social media. He said that the photo in the joint statement was indeed Maslennikov and that he went to war in Ukraine because of his personal convictions: “for the sake of preserving the traditional values of Russia.”

“Alexander and I sat together and signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in October 2023. We serve in the Storm V unit. I have known people who came here from prison just to change the situation. They usually disappear quickly. But I understood why and where I was going. How would you feel if your little daughter was taught at elementary school how to put on a condom? Or if men walk down the street and kiss each other? Is this normal for you? For me, it’s not normal,” the cannibal told reporters.

It is known that Malyshev was wounded before the journalists’ call and is now in hospital. According to him, a grenade exploded near him during the assault, causing him to suffer a fractured jaw, a ruptured eardrum, and shrapnel wounds to his knee and left arm.

As previously reported, Russian private military companies are recruiting Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to be sent to Africa.
