A plane reportedly linked to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has arrived in Oman to evacuate unidentified individuals.

According to the media outlet Agentstvo, citing flight tracking data, the aircraft is a Dassault Falcon 900C business jet (RA-09617). It landed at Sohar Airport in Oman.

Previously, media outlets reported that Viktor Yanukovych had used this aircraft multiple times, and on March 7, 2022, flew on it to Belarus for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

In total, seven aircraft with Russian registration arrived in Oman between March 1 and 3. Oman had not fully closed its airspace.

The evacuation of wealthy Russians from Persian Gulf countries to Moscow is taking place amid a U.S. and Israeli military operation against Iran, which has been ongoing since February 28.

In total, at least 11 Russian business jets are known to have departed from airports in Oman and the UAE to the Russian capital on March 2 and 3.

For example, on March 2, a Mitsubishi Challenger 850 jet, linked to the family of former Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, departed from Dubai.
