A wounded soldier of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade eliminated two invaders in close fire contact.

This was reported by the battalion’s press service.

Journalist Yurii Butusov detailed that the battle took place on June 15, 2024, near the village of Borova, Kharkiv region.

Around 12 p.m., Oleksiy, a soldier of the combat logistics battalion, and his fellow soldier were wounded by an FPV drone strike at an observation post. Oleksiy sustained injuries to his arm and leg and took refuge in a dugout.

The Russians began to destroy the dugout with a tank that fired 3-4 shots.

On the way to the position, the Russian assault group suffered heavy losses, but two invaders managed to enter the trench.

Despite sustaining injuries, Oleksiy emerged from the dugout only to encounter Russian forces who targeted him with grenades.

Despite receiving additional injuries, he continued to fight against overwhelming odds.

The Ukrainian assault pilot threw grenades at the enemy, subsequently engaging them with small arms fire, ultimately neutralizing the threat posed by the invaders.
