Almost 11 thousand vehicles were delivered to cover the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by Colonel Igor Matviychuk, Head of the Department of Border Control of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
Within the two months of full-scale war, 10,700 vehicles were brought into the territory of Ukraine to cover the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
13,000 cars were also imported for free use.
In addition, it is reported that a total of approximately 5 million people, mostly women, and children, crossed the western border in two months, and 164,000 tons of humanitarian cargo were moved through the border.
In addition, border guards took measures to reduce the waiting time at the border so that there was no delay in providing humanitarian aid.
At the border, the priority is given to processing the humanitarian aid and vehicles that are carrying fuel.
Previously, the Italian fire service handed over 45 units of special equipment to Ukrainian rescuers.
Vehicles arrived in Ukraine and were distributed among the garrisons of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in different regions of our country.
Fire trucks arriving from Italy will help in replacing the equipment of Ukrainian rescuers, which was destroyed resulting of the actions of the Russian invaders, as soon as possible.
Delivery of the fire trucks was coordinated through the European Union Civil Defence Mechanism.
In addition, Ukraine received 23 more ambulances from partners from different countries of the world.
