The governments of Wales and Scotland joined the military and humanitarian support of Ukraine amid the full-scale invasion of the independent state by the Russian Federation.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this on July 4.
Two subjects of the United Kingdom have decided to allocate military aid to Ukraine in the total amount of £100 million.
The announcement was made following the discussions with the Heads of Governments of these subjects – Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of the Scottish Government, and Mark Drakeford, First Minister of Wales.
The @WelshGovernment has contributed £35m to our military support for Ukraine, and Welsh families have taken in 3,000 refugees.
Good to talk to @PrifWeinidog just now about how we can continue to work together against Russian aggression.
Diolch, Wales.

The British Prime Minister added that he had a conversation with Sturgeon, First Minister of the Scottish Government, where they discussed the success of UK collaboration supporting Ukraine.
I've just spoken to @NicolaSturgeon to herald the success of UK collaboration supporting Ukraine.

“I thanked the Scottish government’s £65 million contribution in upping UK’s military aid to Ukraine to £2.3 billion and efforts to help house 6,000 Ukrainian refugees,” said the Head of the British government.
Previously, the UK virtually doubled its military support to Ukraine with an additional £1 billion (over $1.2 billion) in assistance.
The office of the British Prime Minister emphasized that the new assistance will be allocated to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine move beyond defense against Russia’s invasion to mounting offensive operations.
The funding will be directed to Ukraine’s defense capabilities, including air defense systems, uncrewed aerial vehicles, electronic warfare equipment, and thousands of vital kit units for Ukrainian soldiers.
This brings the total UK military support since the outbreak of the war to £2.3 billion ($2.8 billion), which, according to the British government, is more than any country other than the US.
As previously reported, Great Britain also announced a major training program for the Ukrainian servicemen. Also, the Ukrainian military personnel is training in the UK to use multiple rocket launcher systems and artillery.
