The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has received a T-12 speedboat from volunteers.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) announced this.

The speedboat is intended for medical evacuation, missions to rescue civilians from the frontline regions, and other water operations.

It was donated as part of the “Boats for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine” project, which aims to improve the amphibious capabilities of the Special Forces.

The boat was transferred as part of the Diana Podolyanchuk Charity Fund initiative in cooperation with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

“We are handing over the boat to the DIU soldiers who carry out special missions on the water. First of all, it is the rescue of civilians from the frontline areas, medical evacuation, as well as combat raids that undermine the enemy’s defense capabilities. So we hope this powerful watercraft will help our guys fulfill their tasks,” Diana Podolyanchuk, head of the foundation, shared.

The 12-meter T-12 boat is equipped with modern navigation and radio equipment and has two powerful engines that provide speeds of up to 95 km/h and a range of 500 km.

The hull is made of high-quality aluminum and is highly resistant to light damage. It also has a partially modular design, which allows it to be reconfigured to suit the task at hand.

The boat can accommodate up to 16 people and has six mounting points for weapons.

“This is a great boat that, thanks to its versatile design, can be used as a fire support vessel or a medevac. Durable aluminum hull, damage-resistant sides. The possibility of changing the deck design allows us to change the configuration depending on the tasks we perform,” the DIU special forces officer stated.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine showed how the intelligence officers use the Combat Boat 90 armored boats that were transferred to them.

Three high-speed armored boats became part of the previously unknown Viking maritime center of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. To use them, the Ukrainian intelligence officers received appropriate training in Sweden.

The CB90s are equipped with firing points for machine guns and automatic grenade launchers. They can be equipped with light anti-ship missiles and carry sea mines or depth charges if necessary.
