The Ukrainian Defense Forces use the Volia-E tracked logistics platform developed by members of the Brave1 participants.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, announced this.
It is reported that the Ukrainian troops were already actively using the Volia-E platform, which had helped soldiers of one of the brigades evacuate more than a hundred wounded and dead.
Many of them could not be evacuated in any other way. For example, at the end of last year, during a week of fighting in the Donetsk sector, the Volia-E platform evacuated about 20 wounded soldiers.
The drone operator can be located at a distance of up to three kilometers. The platform reaches a maximum speed of 12 kilometers per hour and has a maximum payload of 150 kilograms.
Due to its size and weight, the platform can be easily transported in the back of an off-road vehicle.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had already deployed separate companies of ground-based unmanned systems to perform tasks on the front line.
The companies of ground-based unmanned systems are tasked with fire, mining, demining and kamikaze missions, logistics operations, including evacuation.
At the end of May, Militarnyi visited a presentation of robotic evacuation platforms designed to transport wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
During the event, journalists were shown Rys PRO, Mule, and TerMIT ground drones.
Logistics platforms are able to evacuate the wounded while the operator is at a safe distance.
In addition, for a long time, the Ukrainian troops have been using engineering and combat ground platforms in significant numbers, performing tasks of mining and fire support for troops on the battlefield.
