On the night of November 6, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) used FP-2 drones to strike oil depots and fuel trains in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The SOF press service reported the operation and released video footage of the strikes.
The purpose of the attack was to disrupt the logistical capabilities of the Russian occupiers on the peninsula.
SOF drones struck the Hvardiiske oil depot near the village of Hvardiiske, destroying an RVS-400 storage tank, which was full at the time of the strike.
At the same time, in the same area, FP-2 drones hit two trains with fuel tank cars positioned at a loading and unloading platform.
At the moment of impact, the trains were loaded with petroleum products.
In addition, the drones of the Special Operations Forces struck several oil depots and fuel and lubricant storage facilities in the temporarily occupied city of Simferopol and its outskirts – specifically in the village of Bityumne.
As a result of this strike, facilities within the tank farm were destroyed, and multiple fires were reported.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this operation yesterday, but did not specify which military units carried out the strikes or what means were used.
