A video of the Azerbaijani army’s attack on the base of Russian “peacekeepers” in Nagorno-Karabakh has been posted online.
The Telegram channel Armenian Military Portal published the video on Saturday, September 23.
The attack on the “peacekeepers'” base took place a few days ago, but the footage has only just appeared online.
This reportedly happened on September 19. A Russian ammunition depot was hit.
After the impact, a “mushroom” of thick smoke rose into the air at the site of the explosion.
The video shows soldiers in Russian uniforms, some of whom are running around the base. Other soldiers are carrying small arms with ammunition.
The base of Russian “peacekeepers” in Nagorno-Karabakh consists of one-story residential containers.
It is currently unknown whether any of the Russian soldiers were injured as a result of the strike by the Azerbaijani army.
As previously reported, the Azerbaijani military killed four Russian high-ranking officers in Karabakh. The UAZ Patriot vehicle was ambushed near the village of Dzhanyatag.
Among the killed were Captain of First Rank Ivan Kovgan, Deputy Commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Deputy Commander of the Northern Fleet Submarine Forces for Military and Political Work, and Colonel Tagire-Murod Karaev, Commander of the 29th Brigade of the Central Military District.
On September 19, Militarnyi reported on combat clashes between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops in the Karabakh region.
The next day, on September 20, negotiations were held on the disarmament of the Karabakh separatists and the dissolution of the local government. Azerbaijan is ready for a process of normalization and peace with Armenia, but Yerevan must abandon confrontation.
