The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has voted in favor of the return of extra pay to employees of law enforcement agencies, MP Oleksii Honcharenko reports.
An additional 30,000 hryvnias will be paid to the military personnel, employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and representatives of other law enforcement agencies until the end of the martial law period.
277 MPs voted in support of the draft law.
Earlier this year, within the framework of the recent resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the order of payments changed, according to which the additional monetary reward of 30,000 or 100,000 hryvnias depended on the area of the stay of a serviceman and the specifics of the tasks he performed.
Colonel Oleh Rohal, deputy head of the Department of Social Support of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and head of the financial support and salary department, explained the details:
“Monetary remuneration will not be paid to those servicemen who are serving in military units and units that are not part of the Defense Forces of Ukraine or the Commander-in-Chief’s reserve, and are located outside the areas of hostilities. These can be educational centers, military administration bodies, rear bases, etc.,” the official said.
