The soldiers of the Velykyi Luh Brigade have mastered a new Gnom ground drone, which is armed with a machine gun and an RPG.
The photos of the drone being tested in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade were shown by AFP.
The ground-based drone was equipped with two RPG-7s, which received 40 mm high-explosive fragmentation shots OG-7V.
Presumably, the brigade plans to use the Gnom drones against infantry.
The warhead of the OG-7V creates a highly effective fragmentation field of destruction with an optimal mass of debris.
The Gnom also received a 7.62 mm PKM machine gun for its defense and to destroy infantry.
These drones are manufactured by the Ukrainian company TEMERLAND.
The company can also add a mine-dropping system to the platform.
“It is not only a fire support platform, but also a platform for dropping mines, transporting the wounded, and clearing anti-personnel mines,” the company said.
According to the developers, the Gnom will increase the degree of non-contact combat operations and, as a result, reduce the level of losses due to the possibility of remote control.
The payload is 40 kg, and the control range is up to 2000 meters. TEMERLAND also noted that their drones are capable of operating under the influence of electronic warfare.
Last year, Ukraine tested TEMERLAND’s Solomandra robotic platform, which is designed to help with demining.
