A Ukrainian Vampire strike drone helped rescue two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who had been captured by Russian forces In the Zaporizhzhia region.
The 1st Separate Assault Regiment said the incident took place in the Huliaipole area.
Enemy infantry managed to approach Ukrainian positions and capture two soldiers. The invaders later attempted to move the prisoners to their rear.
The regiment’s command said it was aware that the Ukrainian servicemen could be executed after interrogation, prompting a decision to carry out an immediate rescue using strike drones.
The group’s movement was monitored from a command post.
To engage the enemy, commanders decided to use drone-dropped munitions from a heavy Vampire bomber drone.
As a result of precise strikes, both captors were killed, and the freed Ukrainian servicemen were able to return to their positions on their own.
In 2025, the drone-bomber became one of the most effective weapons on the battlefield.

SkyFall codified the drone in the spring of 2023 and has since been supplying it to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The hexacopter can carry a payload of up to 15 kg over a distance of up to 20 km, with a total range of 35-40 km.
The Vampire is used to strike front-line targets, fortified enemy positions, military equipment and enemy personnel.
