A Chinese satellite image taken on January 26 captured the deployment of new US Patriot air defense systems at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

American Sovereign published the image on its X page.

Al Udeid is the largest US military base in the Middle East and plays a key role in regional security.

The image shows about seven deployed launchers, a command post, a radar, and, presumably, a generator to power the complex.

The deployment coincides with the build-up of US forces in the Middle East amid tensions with Iran.

At the center of this process is the deployment of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its strike group, which includes destroyers, F-35 fighter jets, and additional combat aircraft.

In addition, at the request of the Qatari government, four Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets from the joint British-Qatari 12th Squadron have been deployed in the country.
