The Pentagon has published a list of items included in another package of security assistance to Ukraine.
The package includes additional High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, ammunition and a substantial number of unmanned aerial systems.
This package includes about $175 million in equipment and $95 million in equipment from the USAI foundation (Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative).
The new package also contains four additional HIMARS systems, which will give Ukraine a total of 16.
Ukraine will receive four command post vehicles, probably for the M142 HIMARS rocket system.
The command post of the HIMARS battery is the “brain” of the system. It can control multiple launchers simultaneously.
The Ukrainian servicemen will also receive anti-tank weapons, probably Javelin anti-tank systems and grenade launchers.
The United States will transfer spare parts and other gear, and 36,000 rounds of 105 mm ammunition.
Artillerymen of Ukraine use 105-mm ammunition for L118 towed howitzers.
As previously reported, in addition to 16 M142 systems, Ukraine has already received a certain number of similar systems – M270 MLRS.
On July 15, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov announced that the first M270 MLRS arrived in Ukraine, but he did not specify the number of delivered MLRS.
Great Britain was also to transfer a significant amount of M31A1 ammunition to these rocket launcher systems.
