Following the official announcement of the immediate resumption of intelligence sharing between the USA and Ukraine, arms shipments have also resumed through a logistics hub in Poland.
Paweł Zalewski, the Polish Secretary of State, shared this on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Later, during a joint press conference, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha and his Polish counterpart Radosław Sikorski confirmed the resumption of supplies in line with agreements made with the United States.
“Transportation of American weapons from POLLOGHAB in Jasionka to Ukraine has resumed,” he wrote.
Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, confirmed the information about the resumption of operations at the logistics hub in Jaśonki in a post:
“Great news, Minister!”
Late yesterday evening, Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, confirmed the resumption of military aid:
“I’ve received confirmation that security assistance from the USA has been resumed. The agreements are now being implemented. The fight continues!” he wrote on his Facebook account.
This is the main entry point for security assistance to Ukraine from 45 countries worldwide.
In December 2024, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that 5,000 shipments had already been delivered to Ukraine via the major logistics hub near the Polish airport in Jasionka, near Rzeszów.
The hub is secured by Polish military forces, with other NATO countries joining their protection efforts since the end of last year.
In particular, the Norwegian NASAMS air defense system has already been deployed there, and F-35 fighter jets of the Royal Norwegian Air Force have arrived to strengthen the protection of Polish airspace.
Subsequently, Germany deployed a battery of Patriot air defense systems as part of strengthening NATO’s air defense, as well as protecting one of the largest logistics centers for Ukraine, located in Poland.
