The United States launched an airstrike on a factory in the Iranian city of Qom that produces turbojet engines.

According to U.S. Central Command, the facility also manufactures aviation components.

These products were used, among others, by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The released images show the facility’s condition before and after the strike.

A photo dated March 6, 2026, shows the plant prior to the airstrike.

Significant damage to the production buildings was recorded after the attack.

The strike targeted a facility that was part of the production chain for attack drones.

The destruction of such facilities could affect the pace of drone production in Iran.

This particularly concerns components used in loitering munitions.

The extent of the damage and the consequences of the strike are still being assessed.

The strike is part of broader efforts to reduce Iran’s capabilities in drone technology.

Previously, U.S. aircraft destroyed a kamikaze drone production facility in Tehran.
