Israeli defense company Elbit Systems has received a contract to supply Hermes 900 drones to an international customer.

This was reported on the company’s official website.

Under the contract, worth $120 million, Elbit will supply an unspecified number of unmanned aerial systems.

It is worth noting that today Israeli products, especially drones, are in great demand and have already demonstrated their effectiveness in various conflicts.

Hermes 900 is a tactical medium-altitude drone with increased autonomy designed for long-range missions, including maritime surveillance.

It is equipped with a variety of payloads, including radar and optoelectronic sensors, which allows it to perform tasks effectively in difficult conditions.

In general, the Hermes 900 is operated in several countries, including Israel, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, India, Mexico, the Philippines, Switzerland, and Thailand.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Swiss Armed Forces had decided not to cancel the purchase of Israeli Hermes 900 drones despite many years of delays and a number of operational shortcomings, but to reduce the requirements for them.
