An unidentified container-type missile system has been spotted at Fort Bragg, a U.S. military base.

The sighting was reported by The War Zone.

According to available photos, the system appears to use a transport-launch module similar in form factor to the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System and HIMARS rocket systems.

The publication noted that the launcher, which resembled a standard shipping container, was likely capable of firing the same types of rockets and ballistic missiles as the M270 and HIMARS platforms — including ATACMS and the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM).

The system was showcased during President Donald Trump’s visit to Fort Bragg, with tests conducted at the Holland Drop Zone.

The container launcher appears to hold two launch modules, providing firepower comparable to the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System.

Its containerized format would allow for the creation of a dispersed and potentially concealed network of launch sites capable of operating over wide areas.

Such containerized launchers are not entirely new. The War Zone noted that a similar system had been demonstrated in August 2024. At the time, Military Times published a video of it without additional context.

The U.S. is currently testing various new platforms for deploying rocket systems. One example includes a launcher mounted on an Oshkosh Logistic Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) truck, configured to carry four launch modules with a total of 24 missiles.

Separately, RTX has recently tested an unmanned version of the DeepStrike missile system, featuring two transport-launch modules mounted on an FMTV A2 truck. This chassis is longer than the FMTV M1140 truck used for HIMARS, allowing for the installation of larger and longer missiles.

The additional space could support increased missile caliber and range.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that Oshkosh Defense had unveiled an unmanned multiple rocket launcher based on the ROGUE-Fires Carrier.
