In Poland, near the border with Belarus, fragments of an unidentified flying object were discovered.
The find was reported by border guards, who quickly informed local law enforcement. The first to report the incident was the police in Biała Podlaska.
At 10:00 p.m., the Terespol Police Department received a signal from Border Guard officers about the discovery.
The debris was located near the Terespol border crossing, in the village of Polatycze.
This is not the first time Poland has faced airspace violations from Belarus and Russia.
Occasionally, strike drones, deployed by Russia in its conflict with Ukraine, have entered Polish airspace. However, the Polish authorities aim to avoid escalating these situations, as long as they do not pose a direct threat to local residents.
On September 7th, during the largest Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine at that time, one of Russia’s drones crossed the border and entered Polish territory, after which it disappeared from radar.
