Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems will work with educational institutions in the UK to train future specialists for its UAV production facility in Mildenhall.
Rory Chamberlain, Managing Director of UKRSPECSYSTEMS UK, stated this in an exclusive interview with Militarnyi.
The company is preparing educational programs for students in cooperation with universities.
It notes that the initiative will benefit not only Ukrspecsystems but also the broader drone manufacturing and supply ecosystem.
“We are working on this together with local educational institutions. We will create courses and transfer knowledge to local students and engineers,” Chamberlain said.
He said the goal is to provide relevant knowledge early on to build interest among young people in joining the drone manufacturing sector.
The company is also developing a program to attract British military personnel to the industry before they complete their service.
This would give them employment options in related fields once their service ends.
“We are planning both internship and graduate programs. We want to help shape new industry standards,” he said.
In addition, Ukrspecsystems in the UK has secured space at an airfield for its drones and is building a dedicated UAV runway.
The runway will allow the company to test autopilots, sensors, and navigation systems, as well as drone performance in windy conditions, at high altitudes, or during communication loss.
The company aims to scale the best Ukrainian UAV achievements in the UK.
