Ukrspecsystems has enhanced its drone cameras by adding AI-powered image enhancement that improves visibility in extremely poor conditions.
According to the company, the software update has been applied to the USG-232, USG-231, and USG-231T camera models.
The USG-231 is a gyrostabilized electro-optical system featuring a Full HD camera and is designed for fixed-wing drone platforms.
“You can observe a target from a distance of more than 1,000 meters and obtain a clear image thanks to the Full HD daylight camera with 30× optical zoom and 3× digital zoom,” the company stated.
The USG-232 is a multisensor, gyrostabilized system that combines a Full HD daylight camera with 30× optical zoom, a thermal imaging module, and a laser rangefinder with accuracy of up to 1 meter.
The gimbal is designed for aerial, ground, and maritime applications.
Video stream quality from UAVs is just as important as the battery, airframe, or communication system.
The new upgrade replaces the universal ‘Auto’ mode and introduces several specialized video processing scenarios tailored to different mission conditions.
Available modes:
The changes are fully implemented at the firmware level. They do not affect the hardware and require no additional equipment or modifications.
The new modes operate in real time, are software-based, and are accessible through the camera’s standard control interface.
Ukrspecsystems cameras are used on Shark unmanned aerial vehicles, which play an important role in reconnaissance operations.
