At the MSPO international defense exhibition in Poland, the Ukrainian defense industry presented an updated model of the Palianytsia kamikaze jet drone and revealed its characteristics.

This was reported by Militarnyi’s correspondents from the defense exhibition in Kielce.

A year after the first presentation, the model of the jet drone presented at the Ukrainian stand received an updated wing and tail design, as well as a more elongated fuselage.

With a length of 3.5 meters, its wingspan reaches 1.7 meters, and its gross weight reaches 320 kilograms. Of this weight, one third – 100 kilograms – is accounted for by the combat unit.

“The Palianytsia has a range of up to 650 kilometers, which it can cover at a transonic speed of 900 km/h. At the same time, the flight altitude can vary between 15-500 meters.

Such parameters are enabled by a single-circuit turbojet engine. The takeoff is carried out using a solid rocket accelerator.

It is stated that the navigation and final targeting is performed by a combination of an autonomous, i.e., EW-resistant, inertial system in combination with satellite navigation to correct deviations.

The developers position their product as a tool for defeating targets at tactical depth, including ground and surface stationary targets.

Previously, United24 reported that the so-called “drone missile” received its first successful combat use against enemy targets on August 24, 2024. Details of the first combat use were not disclosed.

At the same time, plans were announced to scale up production of the Palyanytsia and work on reducing the cost of the design, which was previously “less than that of its analogues.”

It is worth reminding that at this year’s MSPO exhibition, the Polish manufacturer of unmanned systems WB Group presented a model of its own cruise missile Lanca (“Spear”).

In addition, the Ukrainian Armor company for the first time presented the Krechet tactical-level mobile anti-aircraft system control system, which is designed to combine separate anti-aircraft systems, mobile fire groups and radars into a single system.
